This page offers specific information on our Rhythm Tap classes for advanced students. More general information on all classes and information on our beginners, improvers, and intermediate classes is available here.
Our advanced classes are suitable for tap students with two or more years of tap experience, or at the teacher's recommendation. Building up on knowledge learnt at beginners, improvers, and intermediate level, students will be introduced to a whole set of new tap amalgamations such as Riffles, the Little Red Riding Hood, and many more. Students will also learn advanced variations of steps learnt previously, including more Timesteps, and advanced Pullbacks. Whilst part of each class will focus on the technical side of tap steps, improving every individual student's tap skills, we will also learn fun tap routines to a wide range of music, thus fostering students' ability to remember longer sequences of tap steps. In our online members section, students will be provided with short tutorial videos of all the tap steps and recordings of our choreographies to help them practice at home.
Advanced students are welcome to join our classes at any point during the year. It might be that the class is halfway through learning a choreography, but new students will soon catch up with everybody. Due to limited availability of spaces, new students are asked to get in touch with us in advance to briefly double check whether there are any empty spaces, but generally students are welcome to join at any time.
